Surveyors are members who specialize in creating questions for surveys, creating the surveys themselves, advertising them, and operating them. Their purpose is to gather input from the larger onsite community regarding staff interests or suggestions/complaints like the Town Halls. They follow a rigid schedule of surveys, the annual Town Halls, and the Annual Survey.
Analysts are members who specialize in gathering data from internal sources such as the wiki or results of surveys and interpreting them for internal staff use or preparing them to display to the community primarily through the venue of Site News. They follow a monthly schedule of preparing site metrics for Site News to display at the beginning of each month. Besides this monthly occurrence, they do not follow any other particular schedules for other initiatives.
